This is Amazing Grace
So in this space we’re hoping to share a few of the songs that we sing in church and what we love about them! And first up is a song that Christine keeps telling me I play all the time!
But I love this song, I find I’m so inspired by the words of the chorus.
This is amazing grace, This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You lay down Your life, That I would be set free
Oh, Jesus, I sing for all that You’ve done for me
I love how it points us to Jesus, points us to what he did on the cross. He set us free, he took our place and what a great place to start with when we worship.
But it’s the verses that keep drawing me back.
Lines like;
Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder and leaves us breathless in awe and wonder
And
Who brings our chaos back into order, who makes the orphan a son and daughter
The imagery and the promises remind me of his faithfulness to me, his goodness to me and his presence with me.
Here’s a link to it so you can have a listen this morning; https://youtu.be/gC3QvB3JTqc
Many blessings to you!
