It was almost a year ago now and it’s been such a blessing to me in that time. This song is called Waymaker.   This lyrics in the song really speak for themselves. This is a song declaring who God is, recognising the way he moves and affirming to ourselves what he is doing in and among us even as we sing. All of this around a fantastic melody that draws you in gently before it really pushes into a massive anthemic crescendo!   Look at the verses first though; God is here. With us. Emmanuel. This is what Christmas is all about! Jesus has come to be among us and now we are never alone. And he sends his Holy Spirit to be with us; and in his presence we are healed, mended, he turns our lives around!   Indeed God is the waymaker; He is the One who makes the impossible, possible. He is the One who does miracles. He is the One who keeps all of his promises to us. He is the one who is always light no matter the darkness that surrounds. These truths are so important for us to rest in, to recall, to believe!    For me I am so encouraged by God as promise keeper. For he has promised many things to us. In Isaiah God promises to his people that:‘When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and when you pass through rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.’   He tells Joshua:Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go   Jesus tells his followers that His Father knows what we need and that if we seek first His kingdom and righteousness these will be given to us also.    Later he promises that his yoke is easy and his burden light; he promises light in our darkness, and life in all of its fullness for us.   God is full of promises.   And God keeps his promises.   I hope this song is a blessing to you like it has to me   Much Love   Disney
